Volunteering is an opportunity to gain invaluable work experience, providing students a chance to work with the law and put into practice what they have studied. Much is also learnt through volunteers dealing with the public, community groups, lawyers and other volunteers. We usually welcome applications from law students who are in their third year or above, but we will consider all applications on their merits. Please refer to the position description for more information. Three programs are run each year: Application Process• Complete and return the student volunteer application form (can be completed electronically) and any attachments along with your resume and academic history. • We will acknowledge receipt of your application by email. • We will conduct our selection process a few weeks prior to the commencement of each of the rostering periods (summer, semesters 1 and 2), and when a suitable volunteering opportunity arises, we will be in contact with you to further discuss your application and/or to conduct an interview.
