Committee

The NMLS Committee of Management is comprised entirely of volunteers and is responsible for the management of the NMLS.

Chairman – John Mangan

John has been involved with NMLS since about 1996.  He has been chairman of the committee since 1998. John is a senior journalist with The Sunday Age. John has a deep interest with the teams of the English FA.

Treasurer – Carl Ellinghaus

Carl started with the NMLS as a solicitor volunteer, and has been on the committee since 2001.  Carl is a senior associate with Herbert Geer.

Public Officer – Lee Archer

Lee is a senior client liaison officer with the Supreme Court of Victoria and has had extensive experience with the management of community legal centres.  She has been a member of the committee since 2002. Lee is a passionate fan of the St.Kilda football club.

Committee Member – Stephen Lee

Stephen is an Assistant Victorian Government Solicitor, and heads the litigation department at the Victorian Government Solicitor’s Office.  Stephen has been a member of the committee since 2008. Stephen and his wife Maria have 3 sons.

Committee Member – Christopher Thwaites

Chris is a manager at VEOHRC. Chris was elected into the Committee at the 2009 AGM.

Committee Member - Wei-Lynn Lum

Wei-Lynn is a senior lawyer at the Department of Premier and Cabinet. Wei-Lynn was elected into the committee at the 2009 AGM.
